I created my first "Scream" piece on this day in 2020. The piece was inspired by an article I read about the reopening of a Japanese theme park and the instructions to visitors to "please scream inside your heart." A more perfect description of 2020, and sadly 2021, does not exist.
Since the first Scream, I've created six more. Four of them are named for the person I made them for originally, and the other two are part of this project (Another Scream and Scream Constantly). The "Screams" were part of a smaller project I did last year, encouraging people to be good citizens. The Be a Good Citizen project also contributed to my desire to do a project this year, and here we are in month seven of An Embroidery a Day. If you'd like one of the original "Screams," I have about 6 left from the Be a Good Citizen project still in need of a home. Message me for more information.
Today's piece is scream eight, Scream (BINGO). I don't know how many times since the pandemic started I've heard someone say, "well, that wasn't on my things I thought would happen in 2020 or 2021 bingo card." Obviously, "scream" has more letters than bingo, but the sentiment is the same. What would be on your "that wasn't on my things I thought would happen in 2021" bingo card?

There will be ten "Screams" in the series. Once all ten are designed, I plan to make at least one larger embroidery piece including them all.
