I made it back from Florida. I had to go to the office in Tampa for a new hire event this week. Florida isn't my favorite place in the world, but the trip was fine (no travel delays) and the event went very well. I also got to "meet" the alligator who lives in the water feature in front of the office...because Florida.

Anyway, because I was traveling this week, it was a one-fortune week. There's only one more one-fortune week left before the end of the year. Wild.
I think this week's fortune needs some work. While I agree with it in spirit, I think it's probably the most situational fortune I've seen this year.
At its heart, this fortune is correct. I wouldn't judge a loved one's choice to say move to Florida because it was a good decision for his family. I would absolutely judge a loved one cheering on ICE agents or extolling the virtues of essential oils to cure cancer. Sometimes we need to be a little judgmental because people do stupid things and they need it hear about it. A lot. With bullhorns.
Here's this week's fortune and lucky numbers. This was the perfect fortune for this week since I could stitch two words a day through Friday and the numbers on Saturday (as is my practice). I love it when it works out in such a balanced way.

WIP: The House Purse (Meow Manor)
I made so much progress on Meow Manor last weekend. I still have some work to do but I was able to sew the lining together, attach the fixed roof panel, and finish one of the bag tags. I still have to redo the handle, sew the lining into the purse, sew the lining onto the roof panel, attach that roof panel, and finish the bag tags. I should be able to get some of this done tomorrow. I hope to finish up next weekend.
Bea was such a good helper too! She really likes this project. I can tell because I found her teeth marks on the piece of canvas plastic I set aside to redo the purse handle. Such a good helper.
Other Small Joys
In other Bea related news, she survived me being gone for a few days. My brother stayed with her this week. She didn't sleep on the bed with him, but was very comfortable with trying to con him into feeding her early or a third time. She also continued her streak of running so fast that she toppled the arm chair.
Apparently, tuxedo cats are known for their parkour antics so Bea is just being a good representation of her people (as it were).
I think she missed me though. I took a little nap during my lunch break yesterday and she curled up on my feet. She's never done this before so I was very excited about it.
I also started a fun book before I left for Florida, ZomRomCom by Olivia Dade. I'm about halfway through. It's a lot of fun. I haven't read any of her other books but will have to check them out once I finish the other books on my current TBR pile.
Coming Soon: The 2026 Stitch Journal Project
I'm usually a little further along in my planning for the next Stitch Journal project by this time of the year, but I'm not this year. I have a few ideas, but haven't decided if any of them will work for next year. I think I want to use this stitch journal I bought in 2021 when I first started these projects. I didn't use it that year since I went much bigger with my project that year, but I think it could be good for this year.
The only thing I know for certain is that I don't want to do a project that features text. This year's project was all text so I'd like to do something without text. One idea I have is to do abstract pieces on each page - the challenge is that there are only 6 pages when the book is open. I could combine two months or do two months per page. Or I treat each page as two pages (back and front). If I do the abstract piece idea, each month would be represented by a theme or a single word to inspire the piece.
That's the only idea I have so far. What would you stitch in this book?
