Another week of fantastic fortunes! I have to believe it's the magic of the cup of fortunes at work again since these compliment last week's fortunes so well. I'm now wondering if last week's "romantic mystery" is related to either of this week's fortunes. Perhaps the romantic mystery will be related to an important email I'll soon be receiving. Or maybe someone is interested in me in a not creepy way despite the fact that this week's first fortune feels a little ominous. Who knows? That's what so wonderful about the cup of fortunes. Anything is possible.
Here are this week's fortunes and lucky numbers. It was another two fortune week.

WIPs, Thrift Finds, and Other Small Joys
The raccoon is staring at me. No, this is not about the raccoon family that lives in my parents' backyard. It's about a WIP that I need to finish. I started a very cute embroidery pattern back in July with the intention of learning thread painting, or something very close to thread painting. I'm going to be adding animals to the Goodwill paintings I bought earlier in the year, and I thought it would be good practice for that project. The problem is I really don't like the way this pattern's instructions are laid out and the video annoys me. So I stopped working on it. But it's staring at me.
I haven't really felt like working on any of my WIPs recently, but decided to take my little abstract piece out and add some lines to it. When I did, the raccoon hoop moved and it looked like the raccoon was staring at me. I have to finish it. He deserves to be finished and hanging on the wall. I'm going to try to muster my energy this weekend and finish the raccoon.
I did a few more lines on the abstract piece. This piece is mostly so I can try out some of the new thread I purchased a few months ago. It's very nice. I think I should get some more. I mean, I don't actually need any more thread, but that has never stopped me before.
Last Saturday I stopped at a few thrift stores on the way to see my family. I found some really wonderful art and a fun new (to me) table. I really love how all of these pieces fit in my home.

It's a shadowbox table. It's fantastic. |

Doesn't the cat sort of look like Keely? It was made by someone with the initials CMM in 1984. |
 |
Not details on this one since I haven't taken it out of the frame but it's a bright abstract and it's hanging right as you come in to the house. |

This is by a woman named Liz Gold. She lives in Maine and has a fun Instagram. |

This is a print of an oil painting by a man named Claude Picher. He was a Canadian artist and most of his work featured the city of Matane. I liked the colors. |
On the plant front, I'm going to have to abandon the tomatoes. While I've been able to grow them, none have ripened. I think it's because there were too many plants. I'm going to clean the aerogardens this weekend and try again.
My mint has grown back. I wasn't sure it would after I cut it back, but it's back. It's going to be re-potted this weekend along with the lemon thyme and basil.
I may try planting the herbs my dad got me for my birthday rather than lettuce in the other aerogarden. While I like growing lettuce, it takes a long time for me to get enough for a salad, so I still end up buying lettuce. I think I'll wait to replant lettuce until the winter.
Pick a Fortune
You stayed to the very end! Now you have a chance to pick the next fortune. I have 30 fortunes left to embroider so most weeks are going to be two fortune weeks. If you'd like to pick one of the remaining 30, take a look at the below photos and let me know which one you want me to embroider next.
