The Cup of Fortunes: Week 11 (March 9-15)

It's beginning to feel a bit like spring. Warmer weather inspires me to do things like buy a spring cactus and order an aerogarden (it's on its way - going to try growing lettuce). I also have plans for a windowsill herb garden using my bougie yogurt pots. In the absence of a pet, I'm becoming a plant lady. Wild.

This is Maude. She's lovely.

Y'all...

This week's fortune is an inspirational fortune (I guess) and is one of those fortunes that uses familiar adages to inspire us to be introspective or mindful or something. I feel like I've probably described a road trip in this way before, and I just so happen to be reading two different books right now that align to this fortune as well. Again, wild.

Here's this week's fortune and lucky numbers. It was a one fortune week.

Weeks 1-11

The Screams, the Wheel of Pasta, and Other Things That Spark Joy

I made so much progress on my new Screams series this week. Last Sunday, I finished two more designs and set up Scream #5. One of my friends inspired #5; she also happens to be the inspiration behind one of the Screams from the original series. I love a full circle moment.

Scream #5 (Have the Day You Voted For)

I also finished the Savage Stitch kit I was working on. Such a productive embroidery week!

My brother's birthday was last Saturday and we celebrated by trying a new to us Italian restaurant, Osteria Marzano. I've been trying to get my family to try this restaurant since I saw an Instagram about their Wheel of Pasta. Food cooked table side with fire is really the best kind of food (I'm looking at you, flaming cheese and bananas Foster). Me and my brother both ordered the Wheel of Pasta and it did not disappoint.

I've also come to realize my mug collection is getting out of control. I had to buy a little shelf and move some of them out of the cabinet. This isn't stopping me from searching for cat themed St. Patrick's Day and Easter mugs. I will find a mug with cats dressed as leprechauns and bunnies. Yes, I will find them.

I hope you do something nice for yourself this weekend. I'm getting new glasses, or at least new lenses, and a haircut. Little joys are the best kind.
