I'm finally feeling better after getting the dreaded flu and feeling like crap for almost two weeks. I get my flu shot every year, and I was pretty bad, so I can't imagine what this particular strain of the flu would be like if you didn't get vaccinated. Take care of yourself, get your vaccines, take a sick day, and drink your fucking water.
Anyway, this week I discovered another number that keeps popping up in the lucky numbers and I stitched the 13th fortune. The number 22 has still appeared the most (five times), but 43 is catching up (four times, twice this week). I looked up the symbolism of both numbers and here's what I learned:
- 22 signifies strength, balance, and the ability to manifest your dreams
- 43 signifies growth, change, and the dynamic influence of the cosmos
The numbers made their first appearance in the Cup of Fortunes in week 2. I haven't picked a fortune including both of them since. I'm going to keep track of these two numbers throughout the year and any others that start to pop up frequently. Maybe, like the people in The Fortune Cookie Chronicles, I'll play these lucky numbers and some amazing will happen.
Here's this week's fortunes and lucky numbers. It was a two fortune week.

WIPs and Stuff I'm Reading
I picked up some new books last Sunday. I like to order books from
Old Town Books since I have to go to Old Town and pick them up. This gives me an excuse to go to Old Town and have a nice little day wandering around or meeting a friend for brunch and then picking up my books.
I read
Scythe & Sparrow, the third book in Brynne Weaver's Ruinous Love Trilogy in a day. I enjoyed this entire series and can't wait for her next book. I think
Leather & Lark was my favorite of the series, but this one was very good. Who doesn't love a little revenge, some smut, and a raccoon named Barbara?
I moved onto Say Nothing after finishing Scythe & Sparrow. It's really good. I'm taking my time with this one since there's a lot to take in. I don't have Hulu anymore so I'm not watching the series, but I may have to check it out after I finish the book. There's a lot to take in with this book. I'm also looking forward to reading Patrick Radden Keefe's other books, particularly The Snakehead.
More of my new
Screams series have been hooped up and ready to stitch. I'm going to start working on a kit from the
Savage Stitcher. I also purchased some PDF patterns from her shop and will need to get those ready for later use.
I'm trying to decide if I should take down the 2021 stitch journal (12 calendar pages) from the wall of my studio to make room for new pieces I'm creating. I really need to figure out a better way to display that year's stitch journal. My goal for March is to figure out how to display it better and finish the edges for each month. They were sort of haphazardly stitched during the project.
This is what it looks like today. Any ideas on how to display it? I need the wall space.
