I don't know who originally created this meme or who this girl is, but you're both freaking awesome. This week's fortune is all about confidence and having confidence no matter what. Some people are fond of the phrase "have the confidence of a mediocre white man" (excellent, very timely, makes white dudes cry). I'm fond of telling people they should have the confidence of a cat walking on the edge of a full bathtub. I've experienced that confidence from two cats and I have to say, it's a powerful type of confidence.
However, I think this girl and her owl really capture the level of confidence we should all have in life. It doesn't matter what you need the confidence to do, imagine this girl and her owl. Feel their power. Hold people's gazes. Threaten chaos with the closeness you have with your owl friend. Make people realize only your control stands between them and being attacked by your owl.

Happy Groundhog Day (belated)!
I celebrated my favorite holiday last Sunday with my family. I got up early to watch the coverage of Punxsatawney Phil emerge from his burrow. He predicted six more weeks of winter and looked absolutely annoyed to be out and about. I hope he and his family get to rest for the next six weeks.
My family indulges my love of this holiday and got me some unnecessary but lovely gifts this year. I'd say they're enablers but I feel like this is too wholesome to be enabling (which is probably what a person being enabled would say).
