Despite the fact that I'm devoting an entire year to embroidering fortune cookie fortunes, I'm not capable of predicting the future. I decided this week was going to be a two fortune week and could not have predicted how the simple idea of radiating joy would get me through another week in the year 2025.
 |
These were the joy options for this week's second fortune; I went with joy. |
I'm taking Jonathan Edward Durham's advice and "joymaxxing" my way through February. I don't know any other way after the literal dumpster fire January was. I want my joy to radiate. I want to disarm people with my joy. Get ready for joymaxxing.
Here are this week's fortunes and lucky numbers:

January 26 - why is this the best fortune? I've already read 7 books this year. |

WIPs, Woodlawn, and the Groundhog
It's official - I submitted my work for the Woodlawn Needlework Show! I dropped the Mushroom Farm set off yesterday afternoon. Nelly's Needlers, the group who sponsors the show, has been active in preserving Woodlawn since 1975. I may have been talked into joining when I was there yesterday. I'm excited about that. Anyway, the ladies who were processing entries were super nice and had positive things to say about my pieces. The show will open in March; I'll share more about it as we get closer.
I also started working on the design for a second Scream series. The original series was all focused on screaming inside your heart, but this series will focus on screaming out loud. I'm still working on the designs, but looking forward to starting the series this month.
Tomorrow is my favorite holiday - Groundhog Day! Groundhog Day cards are being received and tomorrow I'm having a little Groundhog Day celebration with my family. I hope you all celebrate the greatest made up holiday of all time.

This is an actual t-shirt I own although it doesn't fit anymore. My mom bought it for me and I may be working on converting it to something new. |
