Can you feel fall in the air? I know I can. Did I spend part of this week looking for the Scrub Daddy seasonal sponges online? Yes, I did. I only found one set, so I'm splitting it with two of my friends. Washing dishes should also be spooky.
Short work weeks are always challenging for me, so I'm glad this one is over. I feel like I'm doing a lot of stuff and nothing at all. I'm sure it's related more to the fact that it's almost the end of the year and I'm not entirely sure where the time has gone. I said something about 2025 in a meeting this week, and a co-worker seemed so astonished. I know, I say wild things all the time.
Anyway, this week's piece is another more abstract/stitch study piece for me. I love the blanket and feather stitches and enjoy combining them even more. They have the same stitch DNA (in my opinion) and are fun to layer. I used variegated thread, which adds another nice dimension to the piece.
Here's this week's piece:

Week 36 |
 |
Weeks 1-36: I've moved to the floor in my studio since I started putting up fall decorations on my dining table and I was going to run out of room on the table anyway. |

Week 37's color is dijon...like the mustard. |
Mushroom Farm Energy Series and Fall, Fall, Fall
I finished the Mushroom Farm Energy series I've been working on for the last several months. I sent it off to its new home yesterday. I have finished photos of the entire series, but am going to hold off on sharing them until they arrive at their new home. The shadowboxes were perfect.
I started decorating for fall yesterday. When I say fall, I really mean Halloween, but I leave all of my decorations out through the end of November so there's that. I finally have a dining room table where a runner looks good, so I added that to this year's setup. It's not done yet, but it's a start. I still have to add lights and dust before I settle on all the placements this year. I also really want one more black and white mini pumpkin (also new this year), so I'm on the hunt at Home Goods.

Keely is unimpressed. |

Look at that table runner! Yes, I will keep it up until I decorate for Christmas. |

A little Beetlejuice energy in honor of the new movie coming out this week. I'm going to see it tomorrow. Wouldn't four minis be better? Wouldn't six? |
