I think fall is going to be here soon. I can feel it in the morning, a little chill in the air. Of course that means I need to decorate for Halloween. Keely is also getting into the spooky season spirit by cuddling with his favorite spider toy and staring at the ceiling where the ghost lives.
As Jorts the Cat reminds us, sometimes when your cat stares it's a ghost and other times it's nothing. Probably fine either way. |
This month's stitch journal is moving right along. I didn't set out to cover the entire back of this cardigan in French knots. I want to see how much I can get done in short bursts of time over the course of the month. I'm certain I'll be able to cover the area I'm working in and maybe a little extra. That works for me. I really just want to make French knots. That's it. No deeper meaning, just French knots on a cardigan. Because it's fall and that's what you do in the fall.
Here's this week's recap:
September 10 |
September 11 |
September 12 |
September 13 |
September 14 |
September 15 |
September 16 |
It's coming along. My guess is that I'll be able to fill in to the top of the left shape, along that side, and a little at the bottom before the end of the month. This is fine. |
A Visit to Stars Hollow and Getting Ready for Halloween
I was going to finish the two PopLush patterns that are currently WIPs, but Stars Hollow was calling. I decided to start working on a new kit from Laine Irene Designs. It's super cute and is putting me in a fall kind of mood. I will eventually finish the fish and phoenix patterns I promise.
I also continued decorating for Halloween. September is Halloween Eve and it gives me so much more time to enjoy my decorations. I'm really embracing light up stuff this year.
Pre-light up additions |
I'm probably going to keep the cat out all year. |
