Thank you for all of the birthday wishes! I had a great time in Detroit with my family. Keely has sort of forgiven me for being gone, but it's possible he's annoyed with me again since my parents' dog is staying with us. I'll have to make it up to him.
This week I finished the left side of the shirt and started on the right side. Ovals are going to be fun to embroider; the stitches look different and the spacing is fun. I've moved into the Philly Pride and Trans flags for the color inspiration this week.
I'm excited to share this week's organization, the Rainbow History Project. I found out about the Rainbow History Project through a stationery store I like, Penny Post. Penny Post is celebrating Pride by hosting a raffle to raise funds for the project. The Rainbow History Project is dedicated to preserving and promoting the LGTBQ+ community in the DC metro area. They collect stories, documents, photos, and other materials that can be seen at the DC History Center or via their online archive. Additionally, they host walking tours of historic LGTBQ+ neighborhoods (which I really want to check out) and other public presentations. You can donate to the project on their website, volunteer to help collect stories, or buy raffle tickets from Penny Post to help support the Rainbow History Project. Organizations like the Rainbow History Project are so important since marginalized communities are often in danger of losing their histories.

Other Projects
I finished this month's PopLush pattern this week as well. I don't have the right size wooden hoop so it won't be finished finished until this weekend. I think I'm going to use either copper or champagne metallic paint. The dragon is my second favorite pattern from this year's embroider club; the jackalope from February is my favorite.
I plan on working on the final five pieces in my Iconic series this weekend. I may swap out one of the quotes for something I saw recently. I'll see where the weekend takes me.
Bonus fun: Look at these awesome dino print Converse! My brother got them for me for my birthday. We designed them together.
