Month Ten/Week Forty-Three: Spooky season

Happy Halloween! I hope you're enjoying the best day of the year and peak spooky season. Keely and I are planning a fun night of watching Rocky Horror Picture Show (me) and napping (cats...). There may also be cupcakes involved.

This week's stitch journal entries involved finishing the small section I moved to earlier this month and moving to the next small section. That's the plan for the rest of the year; move to small sections around the edge of the piece and then fill in wherever I feel like more stitches can fit/belong. It'll be interesting to see how this all works out as we finish out these last two months.

Starting a new fabric section is as satisfying as starting a new notebook.

Here's the last recap of October:

October 23: Pink back stitches to round out the top a bit more.

October 24: Finished the edge with green back stitches.

October 25: small line of purple stem stitch.

October 26: Cast-on stitch using the last piece of yarn from the 2021 ort jar.

October 27: I always seem to do French knots when I go into the office. I wonder why?

October 28: I used the last of my darker red ort jar thread to do a long line of back stitches. This line was inspired by the trees on my street. I've enjoyed watching them change color this month.

October 29: First line of back stitches in the new section - amazing!

October 30: Yes, it's a pumpkin.

October 31: Used the last piece of glow in the dark thread for today's entry. It's a sandworm. Probably.
