Week eleven brings us more blanket stitch, some couching stitch for spring, and a reference to a tree I miss from my old neighborhood in Alameda. I also made some progress on
Sheep Metal - it's really going to be done tomorrow. I know I've been saying that for weeks now, but it's really, really true. I underestimate how much harder it is to do French knots on metal; my hands need a break, so it takes longer.

March 13 - back stitch |

March 14 - Spring is definitely in the air - couching stitch. |
March 15: More blanket stitch! I have no idea how much larger this is going to get or what else I'll add to it. I love it!! |
March 16: Added a line of coral stitch. I haven't done this stitch in a long time and should really try to use it more. |
March 17: These lines of stem stitch remind me of tree I used to walk by on my way to check out the spite house in Alameda. I love spite houses and weird trees. |
March 18: There were a bunch of short blue and teal threads in my blue/green container, so I added some chain stitch using them. It reminds me of a river. |

March 19 - Today's entry is inspired by Keely and the birds. The birds are returning and seem to be annoyed that the red bud tree is gone. They sit outside the window and make lots of noise, which means Keely spends a lot of his time staring at the window or sitting in the window being annoyed by their presence. This is the true sign that spring is here. |
