I started this week's stitch journal entries with a word:
January 16 |
And I did a good amount of organizing throughout the week. I organized two closets (one left), some of my non-embroidery craft supplies, and I attempted to organize files on my work computer (they're getting there). While it wasn't a theme for the week, it was definitely a word that described a lot of what I did this week. I also continued to make progress on my goal of working smaller.
January 17 - a tiny red bean |
January 18 - stem stitch. I tried stitching left to right and right to left - no real difference for me. |
January 19 - I added a whipped stitch to the fly stitch for a whipped fly stitch. |
January 20 - straight stitch. I focused on not stitching this like a back stitch. I do that all the time for some reason. |
January 21 - added back stitches to the straight stitch section. |
For my final entry of the week, I decided to do a little lazy daisy flower. I'm helping my parents purge their kitchen today (they're having the cabinets replaced at the end of the month), and the daisy is my mom's favorite flower. I need to channel the friendly demeanor of a daisy today as my organizational style is very different than my parents' style. More importantly, I have no problem throwing things away or donating items that haven't been used in decades. My parents struggle with this. So I will think "be a friendly daisy" if we get into any heated discussions over roasting pans or a salad bowl we haven't used since 1987.

It's coming along nicely. |
