I got very into Christmas last year. I don't know if it was a reaction to the pandemic or some sort of genetic thing that finally emerged (my parents, particularly my dad, are very into Christmas), but I was into it. My tree was up the day after Thanksgiving (after 13 years of not putting up a tree) and I even made some of my own ornaments. Keely took up residence under the tree and seemed very pleased with himself. I'm relatively festive this year. I put my tree up before my parents did. I don't know who I am anymore.
Today's piece is inspired by my Grandma K and her handmade ornaments. My mom still has a few. They were the inspiration for my foray into ornament making last year. Maybe in 2022 I'll make some more and send them to people.
