Y'all, I made it through 11 months!!!! There are only 31 days left in this project. Can you believe it?!? I thought for the blog today, I'd review some numbers from the year so far. I love a list and I love stats.
- 334 pieces completed, including 3 panels
- 24 new stitches learned in 11 months
- 33 stitches total used (I knew 9 stitches going into the project)
- 16 skeins of DMC 310 (black) used - I think. I lost count at some point, but I'm pretty sure it's 16.
- 20 unusual/other materials used, mostly in August
- 95 followers on Instagram
- 460 Instagram posts, including the 334 pieces, tests pieces, and inspiration photos
- 334 blog posts (as of today)
- 3 Pilot Frixon pens used
- 2 Sublime Stitching transfer pens used
- 2 notebooks used
- 11 wall hangings in my studio
I'm not sure how many hours I've spent on the project since I haven't been keeping track of time per piece. Most pieces take about two hours to complete, but some take less time and many take way more time. This also doesn't include sketching time, thread selection, and other prep work, including test pieces and researching stitches.
Anyway, it's been an amazing 11 months and I'm looking forward to the final 31 days. I have a bunch of holiday themed pieces coming up, the 12th and final Scream, I attempt to draw a train and embroider while on a train, and I try to make and abstract piece including 31 different stitches. December is going to be amazing. I'll also share what's coming in 2022.
Thank you for being part of this project!
