I think there's a trail for everything: bourbon, multiple forms of beer, chocolate, actual hiking trails, tacos (probably). A friend recently shared a link to what is probably the best trail ever...an apple cider donut trail. And it's right here in Virginia!
It's starts just about an hour away from where I live and ends about three hours south of me in Lynchburg, VA. I haven't started exploring the trail yet, but it's pretty much my goal for the month of October. I may not make it to all locations, but I'm going to try to go to at least three of them (they two closest to me and the one near the winery where I'm a member).
I'm not a pumpkin spice person. If you are, awesome. I'm happy for you and want you to enjoy the pumpkin spice world you live in. My favorite fall stuff includes apples, maple, and pecans. I bought maple flavored coffee recently and it was amazing. All I needed was an apple cider donut and life would have been perfect.
Wish me luck on my apple cider donut trail adventures!
