Spider Web #4

When I was planning the various themes for this month, I kept seeing spider webs or spider themed pieces using lace on Instagram. I thought it was a cool idea, so I decided to try it out for my last spider web. I used lace ribbon I bought in August but didn't use for the web. Embroidering on the lace is harder than it looks; there's not a lot of surface to stitch to, and in some cases, the thread comes through the holes in the lace instead of staying put like it would on regular fabric. It took a few attempts to get each spider to stay in its place. Are they the neatest spiders in the world? No, but you get the point.

Enjoy the final spider web! Tomorrow: we release the Kraken!
