Rain/Beads

It's been raining on and off since last week. It's not the kind of summer rain that smells clean, and well, summery, or the kind that cools off a really humid day. It's the kind of rain where a severe flooding alert goes out, and people freak out in public places because they don't know why that shrill sound is coming from their phones (this happened yesterday). Thunder and lightning at 2 am kind of storms. I both love and hate these kinds of storms; love because nature is awesome and ferocious and hate because, well, nature is awesome and ferocious.

Today's piece is my homage to rain. I bought a bunch of beads at the Upcycle Creative Reuse Center and decided to use them as an homage to the rain.

Originally I was going to use sequins, but the beads are better. Also, a post-it is the same size as my calendar squares.
