Happy Gotcha Day to my cat son, Keely! Three years ago, I got to bring home a somewhat surly, definitely chonky cat from the shelter. Today, he's slightly less surly, still chonky, and the greatest cat son there ever was. I sketched some cat paws the other day while eating breakfast, and they became today's piece. Cat paws turn from "OMG look at those beans!" to "MURDER MITTENS!" in seconds. It's amazing. Keely doesn't love me touching his paws, which makes sense given that cat paws are sensitive and used for communication and include sensory pads that help them hunt.
