The only time I've ever sung karaoke was in 2019. It was the year I turned 40 and I decided to do explore new things in my 40th year on Earth. I had a hard time selecting a song, but settled on "Our Lips Are Sealed" by The Go-Go's. I was not terrible. I didn't throw up, and I had fun. Success.
The Go-Go's are among the inductees for the 2021 class of the Rock Hall of Fame. Tina Turner and Carole King are also being inducted, making this year the first year three female artists/groups are being inducted at the same time. Gene Simmons is annoyed that Iron Maiden didn't get in this year. Why this is makes me happy I don't know, but he's my least favorite member of KISS, so if he's displeased, I'm pleased. I don't make the rules.
My plans for the evening include listening to The Go-Go's and going to bed early. Don't be jealous. Today's piece is based the color scheme of the Vacation album (1982). I owned this on cassette tape when I was a kid and know have it on vinyl.
