I met a goat today. Her name is Punkin Pie, and she is amazing.
I also met two alpacas, Chewy and Valentino.
Why? Why not! My friend Anita and her mom arranged today's meet and greet. It's the second time they've had My Pet Alpaca visit. I missed the first time because of work. I made sure to take the day off so I wouldn't miss them today. It was worth it.
We all need moments of joy these days, and spending an hour with a goat and two alpacas is just about the most joyous thing I can think of. They did some weeding of the yard, checked out Anita's dogs, and were generally sweet and lovable. If you're looking for something random to do, I highly recommend booking them to come for a visit. Also, they'll join Zoom meetings to really spice up team meetings.
In honor of meeting a goat, I learned how to draw a comical goat. I think he's cute. I did try to draw an alpaca, but it looked like something out of a nightmare, so I stuck with the goat. I'll try again some day.
My attempt to bring in some contrast isn't the best I've ever done, but it's fine. The face is my favorite part, just like the real Punkin Pie.
