I bought and moved into my condo during the winter of 2019, so I had no idea what kind of trees were in front of my building or anywhere in the neighborhood. I was surprised and excited to see a redbud tree bloom in the spring. It's my favorite tree. If you've never seen one in person, you're missing out. The flowers are gorgeous and bright and happy. People often compare in bloom redbuds to seeing
fireworks; totally works for me.

Probably a week before full bloom last year.

My redbud hasn't bloomed yet, but as I'm willing spring to come by thinking spring-like thoughts, I decided today's piece would be my homage to the redbud. I don't know if the embroidered version does my tree justice, but I love it all the same.

The back is fun too. |
