One of my favorite reality tv personalities ever is Tim Gunn. Gunn was the mentor on the original seasons of Project Runway, and was one of the people that made the early seasons so wonderful. He was tough on contestants, but also knew how to get them to get things done. His signature phrase on the show was "Make it Work."
I don't remember if I was the one who said this to my manager one day or if she said it to me, but it's become a thing we say to one another all the time. I'm not saying it's our team mantra, but I'm not not saying that.
This was possibly one of the longest Mondays of all time, and every interaction had the subtext of "make it work," so that's what inspired today's piece.
