One of the things I enjoy about being a remote worker is that I get to enjoy breakfast again. I work out in the morning, so when I was commuting, that meant eating breakfast in my car, packing breakfast, or picking something up on my way to the office. Now that I'm home, I still work out in the morning, but I have time to sit at the table and eat breakfast. Even if it's just toast.
I love toast. I like my toast about three steps away from burnt. My go-to toppings are plain butter, butter and raspberry preserves, or peanut butter. If I have a cold, I crave cinnamon toast. If I'm pretending to be healthy, I make avocado toast (I like salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes for seasoning). I prefer wheat or sourdough bread. Recently, I found a recipe for English Muffin Bread that is amazing and super easy. I made it over the weekend, so now I have an entire week's worth (plus one in the freezer) of toasty goodness for breakfast.
Yes, today's post was inspired by toast. A girl's gotta eat.

In case you were wondering how the bread turned out - it tastes wonderful! |
